For over a year now we have been using www.mint.com to help keep track of our finances, and love it. It is completely free and you can link all your accounts so you can see them in all one place(banks, 401k, credit cards, car payments, etc.) They will actually help you find ways to save money, and you can set up monthly budgets for any category you want (I like to keep track on my grocery spending!) They also have an app for the I phone :)
